  • If the tippy top religious leader of the world, does not teach religious freedom, everyone will be at each other's throats, and their wouldn't be peace.  It is possible to say, in some way, that men have a right to choose their religion.  If you keep in mind scholastic philosophy and what you can do with mental reservations, and all the philosophy that could be possible, the Church can say this safely.  The Church can teach whatever she wants.  The Church can give a pastoral directive here, for the peace of the world, easily within the powers of the keys of St. Peter.
Is there supposed to be a coherent thought or idea somewhere in the middle of this?  I don't think I agree with what you are saying.  But I'm not exactly sure what you're saying.

  • Catholicism flourishes in liberty of religions.
    So why are you hiding?
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Aside from the condemnations of religious liberty already posted on page 2, I thought this was also relevant to the topic.
Leo XIII also condemned the heresy of Americanism in his encyclical Testem Benevolentiæ Nostræ: Regarding Americanism.

  • Notice how the Church prays for freedom of religion, and never freedom of Christianity nor freedom of Catholicism.  This is a symptom of the "all religions must be honoured" rubbish that came out of Vatican II.  It's the Freemasons' One World Religion quest - "Saint" JP2 wasted tens of millions of the Church's dollars on it and devoted a great chunk of his sorry papacy to promoting it.

  • You're confusing religious tolerance with religious liberty, the RIGHT to embrace and promote error.
