I tend to agree.

If I recall correctly, the KKK was started by Protestant democrats. They persecuted Blacks, Jєωs, and Catholics, or at least that was their goal. Kind of sad that there are Catholics who may think that the KKK is somehow good or Catholic.
However, I do agree with those on the thread that David Duke has changed for the better.

The KKK was started by Nathan Bedford Forrest ( a Confederate General and a fairly decent man) I don’t think he intended it to become what it ultimately became. He himself stated that it was started mainly to oppose carpetbaggers and scaliwags

Most, if not all, of the KKK's notoriety comes from their doings in the southern states.  But there was a 'revived Klan' very much alive in the northern states in the first half of the 20th century.

It was also present in the Midwest. In the early 20's my mom was a small girl left in the care of the proverbial wicked stepmother. She was half-starved and beaten regularly. The KKK showed up on the property one night in full costume and informed her step-mother ( and teen step-brother) that should the child show any further signs, or should she complain of mistreatment - that they would return. Things changed for the better afterward. This happened in a part of Oklahoma where there were few if any black people.

The Klan has been a tool for the CIA almost since its inception. They pull out the klan whenever they want to make white people look bad, kind of like the Westboro Baptist Church to shame Christians.
David Duke is a smart guy but I always thought he was cointelpro. His support of any candidate was and is the kiss of death and he knows it. I think the other white nationalist guy( forget his name- he was at Charlottesville) is also a government plant. If fact they probably all are

In the mid-70's one Delmar Dennis was on a speaking tour through various parts of the country to inform people what he learned through having infiltrated the klan in the South for the FBI. He rose to an important position during his years as a member and reported that the Klan was taken over by communists and used by them to foment race riots and to keep racial tensions high.
