  • Do sedevacantists and SSPX recognize all or any of the saints canonized after Vatican II?  I think Pope John Paul II was said to have streamlined the process of canonization, and I know that there is doubt about St. Mary Faustina.

I, for one, do not recognise any of the beatifications and canonisations of the Antipopes, though I think that many of those who were given these "canonisations" and "beatifications" certainly deserve to be given them again in the future by actual Popes -- Pius IX, Padre Pio, and André Bessette de Mont-Royal, as examples.

I wonder if Bishop Fellay will be canonized?

    Jose Maria Escriva

     :applause:
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • All "saints" cannonized after the death of Pius XII are doubtful.

Cannonization is infallible lest we pray to the damned for their intercession.

As a Sedevacantist , I do not recognise any Saints canonized by the Post Vatican II Popes.

That isnt to say that GOD hasnt elevated Saints during that time , no doubt he has.

But since JPII Made a mockery of Canonization by constructing a virtual "Saint Mill" how can anyone be certain anymore?

Take for example the case of Jose Maria Escriva , the Founder of Opus Dei.  In the Canonization process - there wasnt even a Devils advocate.   If stories are true - this man had issues.

So if the Novus Ordos want to Pray to JPII or Escriva or any of the other hundreds upon hundreds of so called Saints , I say , Go right ahead.  Have at it.

As for me , I'll pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary , first and foremost - to St Anthony of Padua , St Joseph , St Alphonsus Ligouri , St Francis of Assisi , St Bernadette , or any of the hundreds and hundreds of famous and known Saints , and in the End - I'll be content to see whose prayers get answered.

    Pax

  • There is no doubt in my mind about St Christopher or St Simone of Trento.
