  • Which religion would you choose if there were no such thing as Catholicism?
I would choose to be a Muslim.

Then God wouldn't exist. And we wouldn't exist. No occasion to choose then.

If Catholicism didn't exist there would be to Muslimism.  Islam took pieces of Catholicism that Muhammad liked and got rid of things he didn't like.  If Catholicism didn't exist, it would mean that the Christ had not yet come into the world.  So there would be a myriad of pagan religions and the Jєωιѕн religion (with a temple in Jerusalem).  That would be the only true religion.

I hope that I would choose the true religion of God.

  • Maybe I should have asked what religion would you choose if you could not choose Catholicism.

  • I understand this is a hypothetical question, but it's a bit silly and unrealistic.

I'm a Traditional Catholic and will be one for the remainder of my life.

No Catholicism, no Christ, therefore no point in choosing.

  • A strange question asking Traditional Roman Catholic what religion
to choose if the Catholic Church did not exist.
Most of us have really suffered to keep our Faith intact as it was
    before Vatican 2.
You should direct this question to novus ordo catholics and see what
results you will get and you will be surprised.

    Me too.

And I see nothing wrong with a little hypothetical fantasy.  No one is suggesting actual conversion.

  • A Jєω, but not of the false 13th tribe, because:

    1. That there is a divine Creator is not easily proven, but is probable.
    2. That there can, in the end, only be one God, is logical, therefore monotheism is the only true option.
    3. If not for Catholicism, we would still be awaiting a Messiah.

Catholicism after all is the true religion of the people of Israel, re-branded and perfected by the Messiah.

This is just my very personal answer...

If I would not be Catholic, the most logical thing I could do would be to be an atheist.
If an echo doesn't answer, when it hears a certain sound, then the beast is free to wander, but never seen around.

  • My only question is how long Our Lord is going to allow the novus ordo to continue to mock the Mass of all time.

Will there be a chastisement or will Our Lord allow the novus ordo to fade into oblivion?  It's taken the Lutherans a long time and they are still here so the Montinian / Concilliar church can last a long time.

  • This question should never be directed to Traditional Catholics because
    we have the Faith.
We never doubt the Faith and dwell in wishful thinking that is a sin
    against the First Commandment.

    Indeed it is.

A little humility is in order here.  Unless you are Padre Pio, you can hardly diagnose the state of someone's soul from so little information.

No one is doubting the faith, or wishing the faith was not true.  Come on now.
