  • Another priest doing the unthinkable crimes were all too familiar with. The diocese also covered up this and other priests. Usually by sending them to different churches just to so the same crime again. Several bishops must have covered things up.

This lists the parishes he was shuffled from:

Those evil acts aside, the diocese has a hostile attitude towards the faithful. They took attention 3 years ago denying Voris speaking on any of their grounds. They welcome ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ LGBT actions, women's right and so on.

They're perfectly content dealing with catholic politicians that publicly support sins such as ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ marriage, abortion and the like.

Many churches are closed, others sold for next to nothing and torn down. While RICH parishes are trying to build NEW churches.

I don't trust the priests. I don't know where to get a proper catechism for my children. I want to go to confession but they don't seem to take is seriously.

It's a hardship to attend TLM, with great distance and family to take. If its God's will hopefully we can move someday.

I suppose most of this is old hat or becoming common to most of you. But I'm troubled by it and I know I'm venting here.

If I had questions to ask for guidance I suppose:
How to find a place to offer a proper catechism for young kids.
How to join a new diocese and parish that follow Tradition when the people seem insular.
How to find a truly faithful priest, in good standings, to build a relationship with.

  • I don't have much to tell you, except that when the priests are trying to destroy your faith you're under no obligation to play along. I would distance myself and my family from these people, and then make the extra effort to get to a real mass as often as possible. If I had no other choice I would stay home on Sundays.

  • I would point out that less than 4% of all priests have been accused of sɛҳuąƖ misconduct and an FBI agent testified a couple years ago that he could prove that more than half of all allegations of child sɛҳuąƖ abuse against priests were false.

How to find a place to offer a proper catechism for young kids.

Your dining room table.   Most Catholic parents must teach their own children without access to a regular chapel.
OLVS has nice books for young children:   They have a religious ed at home program to with lesson plans costing $10 per grade level.

  • If you need to find a new place to worship, your knees would be a good place to start.

Find Jesus in the world and bring him to Church with you, don't simply go to Church thinking it is the place to find God or that there is magical transformation. Don't be one of these  . Sunday Catholics are a dime.

There are some really good priests out there, but eventually they will fail you on some level or get transferred or die.

So happy to hear from you.   We were in the same situation you were in a couple of years ago. Except we don't have children.

The closings were a blessing because the hypocrits have the buildings we have the true faith

  • I recommend SSPX, or any chapel with Traditional priests, except NO.
If none, stay home and pray hard for the sacraments.
In other parts of the world like Asia, most mass centers see a priest only 1x a month.  You are better off that way.

As for catechism material, I recommend, My Catholic Faith, and stories of the saints to supplement.  The stories have always inspired my children, and they always get excited with "new" facts they glean from these stories.
Saint stories are also a great way to "see" their faith in action.

To stay Catholic you will have to get away from the NO, not just because of clerical abuses, but also because it will erode your faith.
I used to attend NO TLM because I was so afraid of being "outside" the church, especially becoming sedevacantist.
I imagined that if I avoided SSPX and others outside I will stay faithful to Tradition.
But the effects of the NO are so pernicious that I can honestly say it was STAYING IN THE NO TLM that actually drove me to go "outside" and be with SSPX.  And sedevacantism is not as scary or fearful a position to be in.  There are in fact some very worthy arguments and considerations to consider there.

I saw right before my eyes that the longer I stayed in the NO TLM whether Indult or FSSP, the greater the indifference and secularism/humanism of the faith.  Especially for children, that environment is very hostile to the faith.  a lot of the families we knew ended up with their children either rejecting the faith or being Trad INO or OSU, and the atmosphere became more "cultish" than Catholic.

  • There are not many good priests in the NO (from my own experience I knew none). If you want the advice of a good priest I suggest you call up an SSPX priest or a CMRI priest or one of the resistance priests and ask for advice over the phone. If you want to teach your children the faith, you will probably have to do it yourself because the Novus Ordo classes don't teach the true faith anymore.
