The church, visible? No, seen and unseen. It is the lifeblood of those who seek in and those who possess it and those who are possessed by it. Maybe the church is immanence itself, the groung of all being, where the light of God touches the people of God and luninates their lives in the service of others.
Maybe that's where the church is.
The church, the people of God incarnate, indeed brings light to all, believer, non-believer, searcher for truth and, through this, in proportion to it's entirety, leads to faith for the faithful and faith for the faithless. Faith. It's what it's all about.
I guess that's how Pope Francis would put it. (Yes, I've been reading the just released encyclical and that's how it comes across)
