  • Although Tertullian is not a saint or doctor of the Church, ch. 12 of his On the Veiling of Virgins is entitled "The Rule of Veiling Not Applicable to Children".

  • My daughter (2yo) is our only girl so far, and we bring a bonnet to every Mass, tie it on, and it sometimes stays on, sometimes it gets pulled off. Although more frequently pulled off. Putting it back on over and over is far more of a distraction.

  • The "baby" girls I see at our chapel wear bonnets, I've only noticed one mom who doesn't even try to put a head covering on her daughter, and the girl has to be at least 5.

    I wonder if chapel veils (the little doily looking circles) might be a good choice for toddler girls, maybe they would forget they are on if they didn't have the side parts hanging down to play with.
