    she said it was a place of where ther is a  bad, suffocating smell.. etc

    where the demons and the damned see all the evil they have done.. their own evil and that of others

    • I hear the demons do things like stab people with spears, over and over.. and torture them in many other ways

    and there is no privacy in Hell. Everyone knows everything about everyone

    • Being "cut off from God" - maybe that means being cut off from everything that God has created, so a soul is completely isolated and alone - there is no light, no sound, nothing to do, no one to talk to ... forever.   Something like being buried alive.  Just a guess.

    • One of the biggest "goods" on earth, which is denied to the damned, is freedom of movement. If the Blessed experience quick movement (even at the speed of thought), the damned get the exact opposite. One of the saints, I believe it was St. Teresa of Avila, who was shown "her place in hell" spoke of holes in the wall just big enough for a body, like how they store dead bodies in a morgue.

    You don't get to move.

    Saint John Bosco had a terrifying vision of some of his boys falling into hell. They walked down a road that got progressively steeper until they lost their footing and slid down the ever-steeper road. Then when they fell into the gates of hell whatever posture they had at that moment was the posture they were stuck with for all eternity. They could not move anything not even a finger or a toe.

    • Everything that humans consider to be good comes from God. Things like feelings of comfort, happiness, security,peace, fond memories,  etc.
    The souls in Hell have totally rejected God, so they have none of those things that we think of as good. Forever.
