    • Is there a Vietnam Era Vet that can pm me? I have a Catholic  friend and hope he will come back to the Church. We have no Latin Mass here and we cannot travel to one. This war effected so much.

    I am a real Vietnam veteran (real = actually assigned to a unit of the armed forces in Vietnam, not merely stationed in Maryland or Hawaii or Munich or the South Atlantic or some similar place during that war but now looking for retroactive applause for being where I wasn't).

    I am not, however, qualified to counsel or advise other veterans with spiritual or emotional problems that may stem from combat duty. Sadly, there aren't many people who are qualified for this work—and none of them work for the Obamanoid US government!—as necessary as the work is in some instances. As with defusing a bomb, the "help" that a well-meaning amateur offers can easily do more harm than good to those in danger.

    Sounds like what you did in your post - quite a diagnosis there, doc.

    Perhaps those who encourage Soulguard are dabbling in professional charity. Try it sometime, istead of tearing someone down who is struggling.
