  • Is there a Vietnam Era Vet that can pm me? I have a Catholic  friend and hope he will come back to the Church. We have no Latin Mass here and we cannot travel to one. This war effected so much.

  • Curious, soulguard, have you heard of the Monsanto company?

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • Apologies for my failed joke. I will ask matthew to erase all my posts and try to amend my ways.

When I start a thread about erasing my posts, I want everyone who reads this to support my request and post in the thread.

Apology accepted!  Banishment is not necessary!  Who among us hasn't misspoken?
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

He craves attention as a vampire craves blood. He has made that plain time and again.

A more puzzling question is what's wrong with all the commenters who tell him how much progress he's making every time he backs off a step from his latest affront to decency and sense.

They are his enablers. They need to stop dabbling in amateur psychiatry.

I am a real Vietnam veteran (real = actually assigned to a unit of the armed forces in Vietnam, not merely stationed in Maryland or Hawaii or Munich or the South Atlantic or some similar place during that war but now looking for retroactive applause for being where I wasn't).

I am not, however, qualified to counsel or advise other veterans with spiritual or emotional problems that may stem from combat duty. Sadly, there aren't many people who are qualified for this work—and none of them work for the Obamanoid US government!—as necessary as the work is in some instances. As with defusing a bomb, the "help" that a well-meaning amateur offers can easily do more harm than good to those in danger.

Sounds like what you did in your post - quite a diagnosis there, doc.

Perhaps those who encourage Soulguard are dabbling in professional charity. Try it sometime, istead of tearing someone down who is struggling.

Back to the thread topic, bless you Tiffany!
