Tomorrow is the Feast of the Sacred Heart. It's a double first class feast day.Does double first class on a Friday give us the OK to eat meat?

You guys took so long to answer my question that I was forced to put the meat back on the shelf and have fish for dinner. [/quoteSo what? Did it kill you to eat fish?BTW you did not have to eat fish, just not meat.Even if you had gotten your anwer quickly, it would have been not to eat meat.Maybe next time don't try to educate yourself on Church law while in a ruch at the checkout. You could take it a bit more seriously.
I pack meat in my hubby's lunch on Fridays because meatless doesn't do it for him. He works physical labor and he needs the sustenance. But I serve meatless for breakfast and dinner and of course me and the children are meatless the whole day.
The use of meat on such days is not restricted to the principal meal for such as are exempt from fasting by reason of ill health, age, or laborious occupations.
