  • Sorry, forgot the NOT ANONYMOUS square.
Coincidental with this post, I cracked open three eggs for my husband, and all three were double yokes.
May the Holy Trinity be blessed, glorified, and praised throughout all the ages. Amen.
Again, I forgot to check the box.
    Lord have mercy.

    1. Before I forget, again, ma'am; I don't have any theological training. While I had enough credits to clear HS 2y early, they were barely passable ones. Keep that in mind. YOu are far more educated that I.

    2. Not to burst your bubble, and perhaps you're correct but the more likely explanation for the double yolks is human tampering one way or another.

I only say the latter to caution you against superstition; besides, the eggs themselves are "pretty impressive. I can't create even one.

We used to raise chickens. As the hens get older, after one year of laying eggs, they will produce larger eggs, and certain hens will have a proclivity to have a double ovulation. Thus, they will produce double-yolk eggs. This time of year is the most likely time that one will get a double yolk.

I was praying to the Holy Trinity as I cracked the yolks, and this was the first time in my life that I got three eggs (out of three) in the pan that had double yolks. Now, what are those odds? I was blessed and so was my husband who enjoyed them tremendously.

I do not believe in fortune or in superstition, but I do believe in Holy Providence. And my first thought upon seeing those three double yolks was to praise the Holy Trinity, who created those chickens, and who so graciously provided those double-yolk eggs to us.
    Lord have mercy.

Had to modify one word, now bolded.
    Lord have mercy.
