  • Based on recent comments posted I'm starting this thread to vent on annoying trad habits.  I'll go first:

    -  think the poor should stay poor because it's God's Will

    -  GOSSIP!!!!

    -  female trads accusing other female trads of trying to steal their husbands

    -  tell others not to engage in worldly pursuits while they themselves secretly do it

    -  woman believe it's "feminine" to dress like Granny from Beverly Hillbillies

I like the way granny from the Beverly hillbillies dresses.

I think the whole concept of female trades accusing other female trads of husband stealing doesn't really fly because trad chapels are beacons of righteousness and holy people.

  • Trads who think that racism is Catholic dogma.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • I've not experienced the third one you mentioned.

And the 6th one is a bit over the top, don't you think?

think the poor should stay poor because it's God's Will

If a person is poor, it's either God's Ordained Will or Permissable Will.

We should give money to poor people, but a poor person is more likely to save their soul than someone who is rich.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

The person who posted that knows that no one said the poor should stay poor.

That there will always be poor people, and that the rich are not better than the poor, has nothing to do with believing that "the poor should stay poor" - that's just a falsehood that was made up for the sake of selling BS.

However, certain types of people aren't known for their honesty.

  • Trads are no different from other people. They may seem so because they are few in number and so things stick out.

Trads believe differently, and one would hope that belief at least affects some externals enough that people would recognize it.

Of course internals are the essential part, but if the barest externals are not manifested, the internals cannot be there.  Such a person is secularized.

For example, someone who publicly admires Madonna and other disgusting things, or tells filthy, immoral jokes in order to taunt someone else on a Catholic forum, is someone who lacks the barest externals of the Faith.

morality = affluent or at least middle class

poor = scammers, cheat the system, lazy, stupid, criminal

apart from the exceptions of course

There is a lot of truth in what you say here.

The poor have a cruel streak and, being poor, they are poor stewards of God's gifts.

    Racism

The person who responded to sigismund this way did so because of sig's use of straw man arguments.

    Who here is a racist?

    What is a racist idea?

  • Being poor is God's Will.

That is, if we believe in God.

Blessings in life come from God and so do curses.

If a person is a sinner and God allows their plans to succeed, it may be because a lot of others will have their natural lives improved by the sinner's actions but the sinner himself could very well be destined for Hell.

It's not up to us.  We are to submit our whole will to our Catholic faith.
