  • “My family and I have finally decided to stop going to our SSPX Chapel. It was a slow process based on a sermon given by the priest nearly two months ago where he stated that there was nothing wrong with Vatican II, nor the articles, or the New Code (of Canon Law), but the interpretations and novelties that sprung up afterward.

I shall never forget that sermon because for one of the few times in my life I actually 'saw red'. I was trembling with anger and hurt.

So far this year we have endured isolation, scorn, vandalism and private battles from our Chapel. It took our priest speaking heresies to finally make the decision. And even that took time, because once we took that step we could not go back. Plus I wanted to make sure I was not making an emotional decision (and boy did I have plenty of anger to get through) but one based purely on Faith. I'm not the fastest thinker, but eventually saw what I had to do.

I came to the conclusion that I would risk my family by continuing to go there, even though we could still get a valid communion. I will never accept Vatican II, nor the 1983 Code of Canon Law which contains clear heresies. I would die first. The decision is also based on the fact that we have Fr. Hewko visit once a month, and his sage advice to us in this serious matter.

Each situation shall be different. Each family shall have to make up their own minds, but if the XSPX continues we will all have to eventually leave.”

    Hi Seraphia-
My friend attends the same chapel and was there on the day of the sermon you mentioned in your post. That friend has no recollection of what has been posited and went straight to the priest for confirmation. The priest stated he did not say that during the sermon and would never say such a thing.
You may want to speak with your priest before losing the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

How do you expect Seraphia to get your msg when you hide in the cave, man,  :ape:
and hurl spit wads out in the dark while it's raining?

You know all you have to do is register and post on the appropriate thread or
else send a PM.  Just a thought.

  • New to this forum... just learning. If you can copy my post and place it where it should go- that would be great.

neo-SSPXers have very selective memories in my experience with them.

They really seem to have trouble recollecting things.

I think I'll trust my own memory rather than the word of such individuals.

This is one reason why attendance at an una cuм public heretic Mass is not advisable, even if it is licit.

    Let me get this straight:
    1.       You are labeling someone as a “neo-SSPX-er” when you don’t know their position.

    2.       You are stating that your memory and ears are better equipped to hear/understand than another person even though you have mentioned past issues understanding the priest due to a heavy accent.

    3.       My friend went straight to the priest, has proof, but still you don’t believe.

    4.       The priest himself is refuting what you have stated and you don’t believe.

    5.       This same priest has written substantially against The Vatican II council.

This could be considered scandal-especially since you have mentioned where you live and anyone can find out the name of the presiding priest.
