  • It's perfectly natural to be disgusted with the situation among the scattered sheep.

As bad as sedes tend to be, at least you don't have to worry about all the intrigues with the conciliarists.

Why? No one is going to dislike you for saying that.

    Neither is the "sede" movement...

Bashing the N. O. doesn't make the "movement" look any better...

A bunch of criticisms and negative categorical judgments aren't gonna fix a darn thing with the "movement." There's gotta be another answers other than "Oh the N. O. is a no-no."

Um, I think NOT bashing the NO wouldn't make the Trad movement look good.

That's not the point: the point is that the sedes can't expect for people to believe their criticism of the N. O. when they themselves are mirroring that disaster. Sanborn never explains how the visibility of the Church can be reconciled with the sede movement in his latest newsletter: he only whines about how the N. O. can't be the Church. That's not a satisfactory answer, especially since Sanborn has destroyed so many vocations and lives with that cult he's running at the Florida Seminary.

Well, I don't know much about Sanborn, but the sedes are right that tbe NO isn't the Church. Archbishop LeFebvre thought that and he was not a sede. The NO is, as the Archbishop called it, the counterfeit church.

You really aren't a sedevacantist then, because these people can be as spiteful and hypocritical as the conciliarists: only God knows how many lives have been ruined by the sedevacantist Bps and Priests.

They are not all bad though, but the good ones are the exceptions...

Um.. I'm pretty sure he is.

  • I'm just stating what he said, doesn't mean it's also my opinion.

I take it you think the sede position makes more sense than the SSPX position? Because that's basically what the SSPX believes.

Overall it has been a massive pastoral failure, not as big as the N.O., but a failure that has damned thousands of souls and ruined innumerable lives nonetheless. But the folks at the pews don't see it 'cos they don't wanna see it: nor do they know the chicaneries and machinations that go on behind the scenes, the whisperings in the Sacristies, the political maneuvers and blackmail that transcend international borders, etc.

So sedevacantists go to hell? You need to remember that not all sedes are like the ones you mentioned. Such people are quite a minority.

He's saying that here is an endemic problem in many sede chapels, where priests are leading their parishioner's down the wrong path, many many times; not that all sedevecantists go to hell. That's why he said its not about their position (sedevecantism) "but about the disturbing sociological and psychological trends that have been engendered by the worst of their representatives".

  • I'm not sure I believe it's the priests leading the parishioners don't the wrong path anymore.  I'm thinking it's more often a case of parishioners going where they want to go.  Not to say there aren't bad priests.

    ,...... Ryan St. Anne Scott.

None of these groups and people agree with each other, and many are/were independent of each other, while simultaneously recognizing each other as truly Catholic. Talk about confusion...

Ryan Scott does not belong on a list with the others you ahve mentioned.  He is a criminal and fraud.

    They are all frauds.

How is Bishop Pivarunas a fraud?
