    • All this talk about poll's and voting etc. has the word poll on my mind so I'm going to twist it a bit and ask what everyone's favorite pole is.  Yes, a little silly, but I do that sometimes, and it's meant to be light-hearted so have fun with it, sometimes I think we all need that.  I was limited to 5 options so if there's another type of pole you prefer to the ones listed then please share and even why if you want. 

    I know I'm happy to see the barber pole when I'm due for a haircut but tad poles are kind of cute too.  Seeing a flag pole used to mean something but not so much anymore.  I'm going to go with pole vault because I like seeing people flip themselves over a bar with them, it looks neat.

    • I'm a NASCAR fan/racing fan in general, when you qualify in first for a race, it's called the "pole position" or "winning the poll", so I put other, because that immediately came to mind. Haha😂

    This is good, harmless comedy though, especially with all of the election stress coming up.

    • I like the barber pole. They are so old school.

    I don't go to the barber at all, so it's merely about aesthetics.

    • My favourite Poles are my mother and her relatives who all came from Poland (albeit it there were a couple pole cats among them).

    • I picked tadpoles.  I spent some of the summer seeing the tadpoles in puddles at a park where I walk.  I also have many good childhood memories of watching tadpoles develop into frogs.

    • I'm liking some of these replies!  I honestly didn't think anyone would reply lol.  Nice play on words Miseremini lol, you brought up the Polish as Poles.  

    Sorry it's in anonymous y'all.  I tried to put it in the General subforum but I couldn't make a post in that subforum for some reason so this kind of made sense, although in hindsight it probably should be in "Funny Stuff for Catholics" subforum.

    Yeah Gray, I liked watching tadpoles too and I almost picked that one but being a former track athlete I have a soft spot for the pole vault.

    • I have been to Poland and the women there are quite pretty, so I would be a fool to argue that my favorite poles are not the ladies of Poland.  I saw the Black Madonna in Poland, Our Lady of Csestochowa, painted by none other than St. Luke the Evangelist.  A great number of miracles have been attributed to that painting.  In fact, I shuffled to the right and left in front of it, and her eyes constantly followed me.  Pretty cool!
