  • I am not the one who accused anyone of being an Incel, but here’s an example from dear Matto.  He was a humble man, definitely not an Incel!  The reason I remember it was because at the time I didn’t know what the word meant.  By definition, again, he was clearly not an Incel (involuntarily celibate), as a Catholic man who is not married should be celibate!  But I post this to show that a man did claim that on here.  He said, “I am a kind of Incel”.

    Longer quote for more context.

"because of my disability I am unable to marry, so perhaps I am kind of an INCEL now, but I also do not want to marry anymore so perhaps I am instead a MGTOW. Who knows."

  • I'm also the same way about the grass being short. I will mow the grass myself. Have you looked at a riding lawnmower or something to make it easier to cut the grass? My toddler had a tick in her head and we were freaking out. Lyme disease/Alpha-gal are definitely not things to take lightly. By chance I decided to take a look through her hair. We have guinea fowls and they seemed to have decreased the tick population i think so that's another option. I also spray permethrin around the door entrances and on our shoes. You can do it on the socks as well but wait until they dry completely.

I do agree with letting some things go cause husbands are their own person as well.
My husband insists on cutting it himself...  If I even talk about cutting it, he thinks of it as me showing him disrespect and indicating that he is not capable...

Also...  A rider mower wouldn't work at our house since most of the yard is on a slope. Thank you for the suggestion though!

  • Thank you.  For years I was paranoid that they would turn out beta without their father.  LOL.  Coming to tradition when they were very little probably is what saved them from that.  The daily rosary too.  I was also able to homeschool them because I didn't work outside the home very much.  I was blessed to be remote working long before it was fashionable.  One of my most recent mistakes was trying to start a family business.  After 3 weeks of non-paying customers I pulled the plug, realizing that a business model with the only customers being banks was a very poor choice.  I lost about $20,000 but was able to write it off on taxes.

Oh my...  I am so sorry...  😣

Starting a family business can be SO HARD...  At least you were able to write it off on your taxes. 🥰

Oh, and I am curious...  What sort of job did you manage to hold down from home while homeschooling your boys!?  That is almost unheard of from back 20 years ago.

I have to admit that I was not familiar with what the word meant or stood for until reading this... :fryingpan:
