Thank God for a confession.

  • I just wanted to thank God because I went to confession today for the first time in a while and I hope it was a good confession. I wasn't able to receive communion today but I will next Sunday, God willing. I always feel good after I go to confession and today I felt very good. The reason I was unable to go to confession for a while was because I was trapped in a sin, but I escaped and now I am free of it. Thanks to God.

It is good you are contrite. May I ask what the priest you confessed to today, claimed as how he had received canonical mission (jurisdiction) to forgive sins?

     Grow up!

Who said the priest claimed anything?

Yes grow up. Stop being an immature pest.

And stop asking questions of others whilst you refuse to answer questions that are put to you.

Of course I confessed to one of the few true priests in the world with jurisdiction, one of the priests of Pope Gregory XVIII. (Just kidding).

This question was to the OP. Of course the priest would normally not have "announced" that. However every Catholic in today's crisis, is required to do their homework to make sure their priest operates lawfully (has canonical mission).

From what I understand, every Catholic priest on the planet is either a member of the heretical Novus Ordo sect or operates under supplied jurisdiction. The only possible exception is if there really is a true pope in hiding with hidden priests as David Hobson claims.

Name some priests who "operate lawfully (have canonical mission)". Please.

    Please stop the games.

  • This is so typical CathInfo. A poster praises and thanks God for the true gift of Confession, and here comes some holier-than-thou cretin to ask about jurisdiction. It's sickening, really.

My priest is Fr. Andrew H.

    H is not a surname.

Without proper jurisdiction a priest cannot forgive sins in the Sacrament of Penance. If the OP is truly a Traditional Catholic he gets this, and did his homework before his Confession. How do you know the OP received the "true gift of Confession." It shows true charity for his soul for me to bring this essential point up.

It is also true charity to bring up that Supplied Jurisdiction and Epekia are sometimes legitimately invoked by Traditional Catholic clergy.

Please provide the names of 12 "Traditional Catholic clergy" you know who:

    1. Never publicly adhered to a non-Catholic sect, such as the novus order.

    2. Have always obeyed Pius XII's solemnly defined teaching (found in his encyclical, "Ad Apostolorum Principis" of June, 29, 1958) which pertains to the absolute necessity of obtaining a Papal Mandate, prior to the consecration of a bishop.

You have some un-answered questions first, one with the number 12 in it.

But not if confessed to a Novus cleric whose ordination is of doubtful validity, or if he does not use the correct traditional form of absolution.
