  • Simple thread.

Has anyone witnessed some supernatural experience or miracle that they want to tell others about?

I have witnessed a supernatural thing before, but will not talk about it.
    So I know it happens.

I also heard of a woman in my town who had bowel cancer.
She prayed to Padre Pio, and when the surgeons operated on her the cancer had completely disappeared. Pray to Padre Pio.

  • I have witnessed one supernatural experience. While at an SSPX Mass I witnessed the host glow like a bright lightbulb when the priest was holding it up after the consecration. At the time, I also had an interior feeling of my own sinfulness and dirtyness. Nobody else saw the host glow. It was a miracle for me alone.

I remember someone else at Cathinfo (I forget who it was) told me that once, they also saw the host glow miraculously during Mass.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

Why, that would not be out of the ordinary! It was without doubt a valid mass! ( if you think the ordination rite matters).
Perhaps the words of the Confiteor are pertinent. Nice experience!

  • Matto's experience was indeed out of the ordinary. I have been to many valid Masses and have not had a similar experience, and indeed nobody I know has ever told me that such a thing happened to him.

So indeed Matto was in receipt of an extra-ordinary grace.

Only if you believe that  "an interior feeling of my own sinfulness and dirtyness" is nice. Nevertheless it was an out of the ordinary and hopefully fruitful experience.

    Please don't trivialise it.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

Ok I will rephrase that. "Matto was fortunate to be shown the mercy of God to the effect of sensing his own unworthiness before God, that he might make amends for his sin using the church to his advantage, the very church which blessed him with this witness of the supreme perfection of God."

    Matto...
Did you receive communion despite sensing your unworthiness?

Not on that day, because I believed that the feeling meant that I must be in a state of mortal sin. But later I made a general confession and after that I did receive Holy Communion.

  • I did witness a public miracle if you will, a type of "transfiguration" of a priest who was preaching about the Social Reign of Christ the King.  Another person witnessed it as well.  The sermon was videotaped but what me and the other person saw was not visible on the tape.

  •  :surprised:
I've never seen anything supernatural, but I twice "heard" instructions in the form of very specific words in my mind.  The first time was to purchase a Bible and read it, repeated 3x like St. Augustine.  The second time was to turn onto a certain highway, that, given the weather conditions, made no sense.  I obeyed and was spared serious injury or death in a chain-reaction collision on an icy interstate.  I've never seen a glowing priest, but have had a priest give me minute details during a confession.  There was no possible way for him to have had knowledge of what he told me.  At the time of the sin, I was 21 years old, a university student in Canada.  The priest was age eight, growing up in rural Mexico.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

In other words the priest is 13 years younger than Frances. It means Frances did not confess the sin till some years later.

YES!!! That is exactly what I saw.  He was glowing and looked like7 feet tall and very mature and warriorlike.  I know this sounds lame but I'm struggling to describe what I saw.  After his sermon finished he looked like his old self.

  • I saw an apparition of a saint who revealed herself to by my advocate in heaven. I know it was real, people probably wont believe me, but it was not natural experience, I did not make it up or imagine it, it was something I never seen before. Hope people don't think I was crazy. I will never forget what I saw, and when I was tempted to leave the faith later and disbelieve in God, it was what I saw that was one reason to believe. I had a devotion to this saint before this and prayed very much, and I ended up in a bad situation for doing what was right. God saw, and if there is such a thing as divine intervention, if He would have allowed anybody to see something, he would have allowed me at that time. I don't want to go into details, but what I saw was Catholic and I was dependent on God's mercy. I will never forget it.
