Extreme confusion and ignorance.  Certainly, +Lefebvre and +de Castro Mayer have died, but the reason the SSPX have only 3 bishops is due to the expulsion of Bishop Williamson.

+de Castro Mayer was never a member of the SSPX, while the one who died must be referring to +Lefebvre as he is the founder and first Superior General, so technically the article is correct, while +Williamson is not currently a member of the SSPX, so I guess they didn't include +Williamson.

Timing of this is curious.

Bishop Ballini is there right now.

The article was published on July 7 possibly to coincide with the anniversary of Summorum Pontificuм and also later on, Traditiones Custodes.

The ever hard working Fr Rajkumar Valan of the Resistance, with meagre resources, puts the SSPX Asia priests to shame!

FR DANIEL YAGAN

"French Father Jean-Michel Gomis, 43, who runs the SSPX chapel near Kuala Lumpur, also claimed communities are growing around the world".
This Fr Gomis replaced Fr Daniel Yagan at the Singapore Priory. Fr Yagan, a Singaporean, was ordained for the SSPX in 2020. It seems he had some congenital health issue. He was assigned to the Singapore Priory but after a short while was transferred to Manila. He died there some months later. Did the Society issue any official statement concerning this death?

FR JOHN TRADITIONAL OCD

This is a Resistance priest in the Philippines ordained, I understand, by Bishop Faure. Some months ago (although I cannot retrieve it now) he put out a statement that inquiries were made by a Traditional lay person, who was encouraged by a Traditional priest, with the Carmelite Mother House in the country, seeking to confirm if he was a bonafide member of the Carmelite order!!!! I dont know the current state of this issue or whether it has been resolved, or if the original statement put out has been withdrawn.

All the SSPX priests wear the sashes that in diocesan priests wear in the respective places they are based. Does that make them Diocesan priests?

NOVEL RACE THEORIST

It seems there is a Traditional priest who is in the district who holds a "novel" theory on race. Why keep him in Asia? Plenty of work for him in a place like Ukraine.
