    • Doesn't Fr Pfeiffer's term as Superior of the SSPX-Marian-Corps run out in May 2014, and does anyone know if a date has been fixed for the election of his successor? Apart from Frs Pfeiffer,Hewko and Chazal which other priests are eligible to vote in these elections, or even contest for the post of Superior?

    Poche, the SSPX-MC was founded in 2012 by Frs Hewko, Chazal and Pfeiffer. It is the English-speaking Resistance group to Bishop Fellay's attempt to come to a deal with Rome. Their mission is to remain faithful to the thinking of Archbishop Lefebvre. I.e. No deal with Rome until Rome discards modernism.

    It is the "new" name instead of SSPX-SO. I believe that the SSPX-SO name was coined up by the Traditio website.

    No Poche, the official name is SSPX-MC! In a recent audio, Fr Pfeiffer claims that, according to a priest in the Congregation of the Clergy, there may be a Rome-SSPX deal in August 2014. If this happens some English speaking SSPX priests (among others) may well quit the SSPX. But it's hard to say whether they will join the SSPX-MC, go independent, or form another organization.
