  • All these projects yet the sspx school in Sanford still is held in portables. Has construction even started on the Sanford sacristy expansion that the priory said was needed? At least they renovated the priory so they can meet with politicians and have their wine in a comfortable manner.

  • What the OP didn’t mention was that the prior also said that they are also going to sell the Jacksonville chapel and build a new church that is also bigger than the Sanford church which was the biggest one in Florida.

What the OP has not considered is that maybe it is some rich Novus Ordos that are paying for all these new churches?

  • I have been saying this for quite some time now. The Florida chapels are in complete disarray. I mentioned that since Covid, most SSPX chapels in Florida were 90% Novus Ordo and got slapped down for telling the truth.

The chapel in Mami(St. Philomena) is sold. Keep in mind this chapel was willed to the SSPX by an independent priest who was found shot dead at only 55 years of age. You had people there that had been going there for 30 years. The new Church that is supposedly going to be built in Broward(Davie) is in the middle of nowhere.

The West Palm beach chapel has been under renovations for a few years with no end in sight. Thank you for the information about the Jacksonville and Ft Myers chapel going up for sale.

As far as the Sanford priory, I would not be surprised if they ditched and sold that one too. Remember they had a fundraiser last year that netted 250K to build extra space to offer more masses. That “project” has not even started.  It looks like the Neo-SSPX is on a full-blown fire sale in the middle of one of the worst crises the Church has experienced.

  • This is where the SSPX in USA really failed. They had 50 years to build chapels in each state.  They had time to consecrate bishops.  They had time to form sound seminaries that excluded the mortal sin of sodomy. They didn’t because the effeminate wanted to join the sodomite friendlies in Rome. The laity never evangelized.  One Holy Catholic non apostolic church???

  • Yep.  Also more parking too.  St judes it’s hard to park at times. The parish has outgrown its location.
No good reason to shut it down.  What about folks in Pa. for whom S. NJ would be well over 1.5 hour drive?   Just add a Mass in S. NJ.   There are so many new priests ordained each year, yet they don't seem to open many new chapels.
