While we're thanking people, I would like to express my gratitude again to all those who sent gift(s) in 2022:
2/6/22....Thank you to E.P. for the BECEN 25W N Male to Female Connector RF attenuator and the 2N3553 transistors!
3/7/22....Thank you to M.M. for the workbench silicone mat!
M.M. is definitely a CathInfo member, but I don't know about E.P. -- he *might* have found me through Ham Radio.
I can't call out any unknown good deeds (such as praying for me), but I can at least address and thank those benefactors I know about.
P.S. In case you're wondering (I know I would be): Yes, that is the complete list; I'm not leaving anyone out.
P.P.S. Reminds me of reading Cryptogon in the 00s. Aaah, memories! Kevin Flaherty only got maybe 10-12 donations a month out of many thousands of regular readers, and he actually ran his blog Cryptogon.com for his full time living (unlike me) and made that very clear to his readers. I distinctly remember several months where he vocally complained about it, threatened to make the blog subscriber-only, etc. Let's just say reading his posts taught me something about "typical give-back action %" that a website owner could expect, which I obviously haven't forgotten. It helped form my own realistic expectations of what any website/blog/forum could expect in terms of donations, to the present day. Which, in turn, has driven my business decisions for my own forum: using free forum software, self-hosting (using mostly free software), putting ads on the forum to pay for Internet/electricity expenses, etc. So it's not good or bad, per se -- as the saying goes, "it is what it is". And as Eamon Shea once said, "Deal with reality, or it will deal with thee."
