I am a traditionalist because of the John Birch society. My grandparents and their friends were members of the Birch Society for a long time. One of the leaders, maybe Robert Welch, although being a protestant, sent the Catholics in the group to the Archbishop. he told the Catholics that there was at least one good Catholic Bishop fighting against the communists and the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr. Of course, they wanted to know more and that's how it all started.
All the Birch Society members who were Catholics joined with the Society of St. Pius X as far as I know. I am the grandson of at least two of them.
