  • Is anyone aware of a Catholic teaching on the proper way to solicit prayers of others for your own intention?  Specifically, prayers being solicited from the community at large for extremely minor ailments (headaches, indigestion, mental fog, etc) is the issue.

I want to do God's Will and be charitable but at what point must this person be fraternally corrected (in private of course) with charity?  It seems that the person in question believes every ache and pain is a demon or proof of being a victim soul.

Thanks for helping.  This issue is causing some discord in my family so your advice is appreciated.

  •    :scratchchin: Pray for them. What will it hurt? Takes less than a minute for an Ave..Pray for the minor ache as well as their eternal salvation. That way, you won't feel like you wasted your Ave...
