Let's call this SSPX Forum from now on.
-
It IS an SSPX forum.
It's certainly worthy of discussion.
-
Um, if you haven't noticed, there's something kinda big going down. Even the secular media is reporting on it, so it's kind of hard to ignore completely.

:roll-laugh1:
I remember when H.H. BXVI said something about tolerating trads. Well, this is an SSPX/Trad forum that tolerates sedevcantists.
And as mentioned, important things are brewing, and we here on the internet never pass up a chance to start a good rumor or stretch the facts. :dancing:

I remember when H.H. BXVI said something about tolerating trads. Well, this is an SSPX/Trad forum that tolerates sedevcantists. And as mentioned, important things are brewing, and we here on the internet never pass up a chance to start a good rumor or stretch the facts.
Why do people continue to refer to these events as "rumours" and "stretching the facts" ? Rorate-Caeli and Menzingen have shamelessly pretended that the letters and the various responses from bishops, Menzingen, the Vatican Press Office, and various communications from District Superiors are nothing but "rumours" from "loose lips" who refuse to "bridle their tongues" because of "hysterical" reaction and nervousness, which is evidence of a "lack of trust in God" and "a revolutionary spirit against the authority of lawful superiors." The people on this forum and IA are addressing public facts, though. Anybody can read the letters, interviews, and the rest for themselves.
Accusing this forum of "calumny" and other such things is patently absurd and unjust. The entire way that Menzingen and its blog-support has dealt with this issue has been dishonest and hypocritical, and those liberal-traditionalists and Latin Massers who were looking for an excuse to dismiss the legitimate and reasonable criticisms coming from those who dissent in principle from the dishonest moves of Bishop Fellay and his fellow travelers found it in the twisted rhetoric coming from the official party line. Now it has become the official story that Bishop Fellay and co. are wise, pious, and beyond reproach, whereas the rest of us are on the verge of despair, ingrates jumping ship like rats, mutineers, gossips, and so forth. It's sickening, really. The calm delivery of the facts and level-headed reminders of pertinent information are considered "base" and "lunacy." The political doublespeak of Menzingen and the Latin Massers, however, is considered saintly in its prudence and clemency.
Truly, we can see the diabolical disorientation, given how easy it is for deception to prevail and for hitherto stout hearts to collapse into surrender. Thankfully, the three bishops still do not seem to have defected. Deo gratias.
