  • Okay, I don't understand how there seem to be several posters who have been members here for years with only a handful of posts- (under 10, mostly) who come out of the woodwork and seem to be caught up with everything going on in the forum. I understand a few lurkers, but there seems to be something else going on. I thought maybe they have multiple accounts and save those for posts they don't want associated with their usual screen name. But I thought Matthew checked for multiple accounts? Is there something else going on?

  • There are people that are known double posters here that can mask their IPs to make it look like they're not doing it. I know this to be true, because someone admitted to me that they were doing it. I don't know if it's the posters you're talking about (probably not) but I know there are people doing it already.

  • It's unfortunate but to be expected that termites always arrive at a forum like this eventually.

I don't know if he would even believe me, and I'm concerned that this person would retaliate. Since this person is masking their IP, there's really no way to prove it.

If the person admitted to you via PM, all you'd have to do is send it to Matthew.

    Eh, proof is overrated.
The bigger question is do we like them or not.  :jester:

Seriously, if you think someone here is attempting to mislead or whatever, ask us about it. Even if we decide to let them be, you're no worse off than you started.

This is what I'm concerned about. The poster is not unknown to everyone, and this poster is very good at being a chameleon. People that have not actually met this person, have a different idea completely what this person is really all about.

Forgive me if I don't say who it is.

  •  It's well know by a few, that CI is a hot-bed for trolls. At first even after registering, I wouldn't post here, especially after seeing what the good doctor did to the anonymous forum, and the nasty and unmentionable personal attacks he was able to conjure up, and motivate others to repeat, against a forum member. Then I realized, if you want to fight the enemies of the Church, you can find them here, attempting to make the faithful look foolish.

Be ware of the trolls! We'd be foolish to underestimate these cyber-hooligans, and the amount of damage they can do to our movement.

Did Pablo start the rumor of Fr. Pfeiffer's alleged Consecration, or perhaps could it have been somebody form the "other side", maliciously fomenting disorder?

  • definitely there are sneaky unethical dishonest members here, especially because it is a big forum with controversial topics.  I don't know how they justify being dishonest and sneaky with devout Catholicism.

If it's who I am thinking about, the person WILL retaliate no matter how long it takes, no matter what.  Period.

God knows I do not make things up; it is to He that I will answer.  I wouldn't know if the OP is making up that he can see people masking their identities.  He could be the cia for all I know.
