I don’t have time to read through all the pages of this thread but I will say that I struggled between deciding to put yes or no. 😅
In the winter we all wear long sleeved shirts/dresses in our family. In the summer with going up to 100 degree weather the sleeves of the clothes we wear often come about to the elbow but not always below. Usually the shirts my husband and boys wear are like this:

I am the only woman in the house. I make most of my own dresses and it is easier to make them long sleeved so that they work for summer and winter (and just roll the sleeves up in the summer) but sometimes I make them so that they go to the elbow. With doing dishes and laundry all the time I think that the rule of down to the elbow makes more sense than always down to the wrists. I can't imagine trying to do dishes with the arms covered to the wrists. I would get my dresses soaked 2-3 times a day and have to get a new dress.
