  In the Middle Ages, women did not show ANY skin.  In the 1900s, they showed ankles and forearms.  Nowadays, (it is allowed, not required, not ideal) to show partial upper arms and full lower legs (i.e. below the knee).  This is called change in style.

We have 2 bishops (at least) and a cleric who worked directly for the pope say that showing forearms and lower legs is allowed.  There's a further allowance for shorter sleeves.

If you argue against these allowances, you are attacking Church authority. There's no other way to spin it.

Certain styles covered all skin.

You have a very weak case you are making.
The rules for modesty dont come from the Church. They  come from nature.

My husband would agree with you, he laughed when I told him about this thread, thought it was April Fool joke.I am reminded of a friend whose family fled Iran years ago as they opposed the Ayatollah. She said sɛҳuąƖ assault and rape isn’t diminished by whether the woman wears hijab or not as the men become obsessed with ankles or wrists or generally just go weirdly perverted. So anyone who is turned on by elbows… lol get some help ((have asked a few Catholic men, they agree)). Quit this puritan nonsense on this forum, it’s not what being Catholic is about.

Your husband laughed with nervousness.

And you showed it to him because you wanted justification to continue what you are doing.

On Good Friday of all days, shame on you for being like this.

For all you puritans out there, what do you think about feet? To me at least, they are way sexier than elbows, and, still, during all Church's history people were allowed to wear open sandals and go bafefoot.

On this day and age, there are probably a few Trad men who might sin when they see feet, and it would still be ridiculous to require women to wear only closed footwear. Meanwhile, I have yet to hear about someone who will have serious temptations when they see elbows. Do we have any around?

All you people have left is to mock.

Because you have no arguments.

I showed him to prove there really are crazy Catholics online talking like Pharisees!

We’re not resistance Mass goers but do attend the Latin Mass mostly. At many parishes I’m noticing a real increase in Catholic converts which is absolutely wonderful ✝️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

He said I should get off this forum completely because it sounds insane. He said just pray for them and quit it. so I’ll do that. God bless. Yes it’s not the day to be arguing about nonsense I agree.

Lets be honest most trad men do not have either the knowledge, nor the will power to enforce this in their households.
They have given up the ghost.
'Odd' way to use that expression on Good Friday.
