Can people here share their real motives for defending wearing short sleeves? It’s not about observing the commandments, that’s for sure. Let’s get to the root of it, so that the filth your souls may be purified.
And to the person or people who keep telling us to focus on what is worse such as tightness of clothing etc., if a woman needs to be taught this is wrong, she is a wretched, demonic creature, blind through having indulged in lust. OBVIOUSLY those are issues that EVERYONE knows is a problem. Don’t distract from the principle of covering more of the body than revealing it.
Short sleeves, skirts above ankles and all of these things which traditional Catholics have been conditioned to accept for decades, were literally introduced in order to little by little desensitize men and women, leading them to the point we are at today, where nothing is left to the imagination. The devil has a hold on anyone who refuses God the smallest sacrifice. He may not have you in chains, but he has you by a hair, and this hair can easily lead to an eternal chain by little and little. This is how he ensures souls who do not wish to commit obvious mortal sins. Deliberate venial sin is extremely malicious, and God punishes those who indulge in them by letting them fall into mortal sin. These are the teachings of the saints.
Even little girls in the 1950s were conditioned to become accustomed to exposed skin, with their extremely short dresses exposing their little legs, poor things. No saintly mother ever dressed her little girl in that way.
To defend being able to wear these clothes which were part of ushering in the disaster we have today is utter idiocy, and is disgusting. It all leads to hell eventually, some ways taking longer than others. Do not be deceived.
People HAVE shared and discussed but you insist on anyone’s discussion on the matter other than your own is wicked and demonic.
Please consider that rigorism and Pharaseeism are errors that can sneak up on you as stealthily as modernism. They are tricky because they disguise themselves as piety.
There are a lot of very serious, well informed Catholics on this site. The fact that “Yes” is currently twice as much as “No” should make us stop and consider instead of throwing out accusations and assumptions. Those who wear T-shirts that cover most of the upper arm aren’t burning up in the filth of their souls. Please.
