There are some acceptable sleeves that in certain normal positions can reveal as far as the armpit. One has to be careful.

A short article from The Catholic Bulletin, Volume 15, Number 28, 11 July 1925:

https://www.thecatholicnewsarchive.org/?a=d&d=MNB19250711-01.2.22&srpos=17&dliv=none&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN-Pope+Pius+XI+modesty--------

It says in there that the Maestro di Camera, to prevent embarrassment, had printed cards which depicted what a woman should be wearing in terms of the length of skirt, sleeves and the neckline, for those wishing to have an audience with Pope Pius XI. Perhaps this image is preserved somewhere, it would help us out a great deal!

Have you people ever heard about Puritanism?

All people in favor of short sleeves seem to be able to do is mock and call us puritans.

No arguments at all from historical practice. Because they have none.

Can you give us a traditional Catholic definition of it?
