  • Bad idea!  If you have no source of a Catholic teacher, check online for an introductory college or adult class.  You do realize Protestants with very exceptions, do not use the same Bible?  If you admittedly know next to nothing, you are in no way ready to argue apologetics!
Even most "Catholic" bibles are no good. The US translation for the New Mass has Luke 1:26 (where the Angel Gabriel visits Our Lady) as "Hail, highly favored one" instead of "Hail, full of grace".

That reeks of modernism. Even if one is not an expert on Latin or Greek (you could ask Ladislaus for more context in the original tongues), one could notice that right away. If it says "highly favored" or anything like that, put it down.
Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed

Misspoke, it was actually Luke 1:28.

  • "If she agrees to stop the Bible study." Seriously, does she have any further motivation for conversing with you other than to convert you as a feather in her Protestant cap?
OP here. You were right lol.

While she said we could remain friends, she has seldom spoken to me since. I should've listened to you guys.

:laugh1: Well, you've learned your lesson. It could have been worse. Consider yourself spared, and for that you should thank your guardian angel!

  • We are all sinners.   Repent and believe.
Read your Bible and pray your Rosary.

    I’m reading psalms.

  • Go to Mass or some of these get togethers to meet virtuous traditional Catholic women.
