Did not +Lefebrve take a bribe from the Shadoff's for Fellay to be consecrated?

I saw LeDeg post this in another thread and wondered if anyone has anything to back this up.

Who are the Shadoff’s and what role did they in Bishop Fellay being selected?

I’ve heard opinions that some of the drivers in Switzerland or France influenced Archbishop Lefebvre to consecrate Bishop Fellay, seeing as he was burser at the time. Not someone who was speculated as one of the 3 or 4 bishops.

Interesting to think about what if this was the case. What would the Archbishop have thought in such a situation?

Mr. Lovey, one of Abp. Lefebvre's trusted Swiss drivers and friends said that one of the bishops should be a Swiss, since Switzerland was so important to the archbishop's work.

That's when Bp. Fellay was chosen to be a bishop.

I had never heard about this Shadoffs before.

"... (then THREE)

"...Moreover, the Fr. of Chalard having confirmed the intention of the founder of Ecône to consecrate three bishops on 30 June, the cardinal asked him to transmit an invitation to return to Rome. A new meeting is then scheduled for 24 May..."

>>>( Original French text."...De plus, l’abbé du Chalard ayant confirmé l’intention du fondateur d’Ecône de sacrer trois évêques au 30 juin..."

...since "we thought that you would give us the means to continue and develop the works of tradition, especially by giving me some coadjutors, at least three, and also giving the Roman organism a majority to Tradition". For it is always a question of remaining “without any progressive and conciliar influence”. Archbishop Lefebvre did not change this point.

(again THREE bishops)...
Finally, Archbishop Lefebvre takes matters into his own hands:

“That is why, to our great regret, we are obliged to ask you that, before the date of 1 June, you clearly indicate to us what the intentions of the Holy See are on these two points: consecration of the three bishops applied for 30 June and majority of the members of the Tradition in the Roman Commission..."

*************
As far as I can remember, Fr. Fellay was not yet on the list...Anybody know?

Somewhere else I wrote that Fr. Fellay was shocked at learning about his possible consecration and naturally wanted none of it. He was very young, 30 years old, the youngest Catholic bishop in the whole wide world - you  - would -  be  - scared - - too...!
Never heard about Shadoff...

Further down in the thread Ladislaus says “it's well known that a certain wealthy benefactor pushed for the consecration of +Fellay in the first place”.

How is it well known?
