I do not know what the mothers are thinking. We have a family with two girls who are getting into their early teens.  The older one has been wearing little girl "heels" and other fancy-type dresses since she was 8-9 years old.  Now she is about 14 and wears skin tight leggings and shoulder-baring tops.  

Until this moment, I hadn't really put it together that the little girls who like overly colorful, fancy type dresses when they are little will likely graduate to the inappropriate outfits in adolescence.  It seems to foster an inordinate amount of self focus and attention to what other people are wearing.  

In this case (above), the mother is not fashionable and sometimes dresses immodestly because something doesn't fit her properly.  She favors dark colors (brown, gray, black) and sensiblewalking shoes and no makeup, no "hairstyle" per se.  

The daughter is one extreme  and her mother is another it seems.

At my SSPX chapel it seems to have become a contest among all the young girls, and even the young mothers under like 45, to see who wears the most immodest worldly footwear. Here are some pictures, below. They look like they are "easy", loose women of the world, to say the least. I think that the same women would wear cow patties on their heads if the fashion industry pushed the idea. Airheads.

Not only are those multiple spiked shoes on the top left a temptation for men because they change the way a woman walks and make her look seductive, but also because they look like they could inflict a lot of painful injuries. They could be used as weapons knowingly or unknowingly.

The shoes on the bottom right are likewise dangerous, not only for the woman wearing them, but also for others around her.

When I lived in San Francisco, ladies would wear sharp "spiked" high heels to the wharf when dining at restaurants. These spike high heels would often get caught in the cracks on the wharf. When that happened, the gal could fall and injure herself or injure others around her during her fall. Often the heel would break off, then she would have to remove her shoes  and walk barefoot . This was dangerous because she could get wood splinters in her feet or step on sharp nails.

These shoes are not comfortable, practical, or good for one's foot and leg health.  When I was young, and girls wore these shoes to a dance, they would kick those shoes off and go on the dance floor barefooted. Some girls would carry ballet-type shoes in their bags and quickly change into them.

I’ve never seen the spiked numbers, but then again I’m not looking since I’m not a fashion cop. I go to church to pray, and not ogle my neighbor. Silly me!

I saw lots women wearing spiked heels during my days in the business world in San Francisco and they would wobble as they walked, so everyone gave them lots of latitude because you would never know when they would fall and take down several unsuspecting people with them. Those gals were rarely seen at church.

I preferred to wear simple shoes as those spiked heels were killers, very expensive, and not my style at all.

Yeah, at our sspx chapel a woman blocked the way down the staircase for a choir member to go receive Holy Communion because the woman determined a young ladies' dress to be too short.

That's when having stiletto heels is an advantage -- just raise her heel and give a swift kick to clear the staircase.
