  • I am having a harder time getting along with my two sede friends lately. (My two best friends are sedes. One is the reasonable one and one is the unreasonable one). Dare call the Pope "Francis" and not "Bergoglio" with added derision and I get scolded. Dare call a modern priest "father" or "priest" without claiming the invalidity of their orders and I get scolded. Dare to refer to the Church as "the Church" and I get scolded. The unreasonable one is even telling me I shouldn't go to the local SSPX Mass because they are heretics now. I am always having to pretend they are right about everything and not correct them when they offend my beliefs as a non-sede, while they are almost constantly in almost every conversation offending me and my beliefs. And whenever I say anything that is not sede enough I get scolded by them as sedes. I post this anonymously here and not in the Sedevacantist Strutting thread because that thread was removed from the anonymous forum and I want to be anonymous so my sede friends will not know who I am and get angry with me. I love both of them, the reasonable one and the unreasonable one, but they are abusive relationships.

Either gather the courage to stand up for yourself or end the relationships.  These days are hard enough; none of us needs to be voluntarily exposed to extra abuse.

  • I think all sedes should seriously study the book by EO John Pontrello (The Sedevacatnsit Delusion), as well as Gerry Matatics and Richard Ibranyi. I think Matatics is especially important as he is the greatest of all living Catholic Apologists.

  • There are reasonable sedevacantists and hardened dogmatic sedevacantists.   The reasonable ones always get along well with other traditionalists that haven't yet or will not graduate and move on to sedevacantism.

Generally, you will find the more reasonable ones at CMRI.  The CMRI priests are level headed and set the tone at their chapels and are not dogmatic sedes.

  • CMRI has been polluted from day one ... in many different ways.  Shuckardt certainly left a mark on that group.

  • I’ll never forget the first time I assisted at an SSPX mass. A nice fellow named Joe greeted me after mass and within 2 minutes of talking he said to me, in a very serious tone: “watch out for those sedevacantists!” I laughed and said, “Joe, I’ve held the sedevacantist position for years”. Needless to say he was speechless.  :laugh1:

Another person, at the same chapel, said to my brother, when he found out that he held the sede position, “you can’t be a sedevacantist, you’re too nice!   :laugh1:
For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?

Well by all accounts John Lane is among the nicest of men. But he has murdered countless souls with his sede evangelization.

Look at the mark on your group and hide your head in shame!

Your holy father [sic] Bergoglio, whom you ignore and bad mouth, says that everyone is saved! EVEN JєωS AND MUSLIMS!  How is it that we are condemned? What dogma do we doubt or deny? Can you please point me to the doctrine that teaches that a long term interregnum is impossible?

I can give you a quote, that I posted before, from the eminent theologian Father Edmund O’Reilly who says that a long interregnum is possible. Do you need me to post it again?

Oh so one priest said an interregnum could be long. But not forever. We all know in sede land it is impossible by human means to ever get a new pope. That's why they talk about things like Sts. Peter and Paul coming down from heaven to elect the next pope.

  • Nobody takes the conclavists seriously. But they are the only sedes who get it.

No, what it shows is that you have an a priori bias that the sedevacantist position is evil. I’ll bet you haven’t even considered the position for two minutes before concluding it was impossible due to bias and prejudice.
