    Dear SSPX Supporter,

Normally, a potential supporter would like to know as much as possible about an organization he is considering supporting: its employees, budget, accounting practices, goals, as well as the founder(s), their motives, religion, background, work history, any criminal record, etc.

This is understandable. Unfortunately, under the circuмstances, we must maintain our cloak of anonymity. Not as a cloak for malice, but for a shield of protection against the fiery darts of zealous but misled individuals, even the SSPX legal machine.

We are not asking for donations, and we have received none. We did have to raise money amongst ourselves to pay for this web site, but we are content knowing that this site will benefit many souls, and the Catholic Church in general.

The "Financial Support" blank on the form is to ask how much you would be willing to support a hypothetical SSPX priest forced to leave his post because of new orders from the Superior General (orders he is unable to follow in good conscience), the nature of the Rome-SSPX deal that will be released, or other persecution from within the SSPX. Faithful priests might be forced to go off on their own and materially "start over" in order to continue the traditional SSPX apostolate.

Catholics banding together like we are here, in an organized manner, is one of Menzingen's worst fears. They hope that initiatives like SaveSSPX.com never happen, or if they do happen, that they come to nothing.

But we hope and pray there is some way for a movement like SaveSSPX.com to succeed. There are certainly challenges, such as the simultaneous need for anonymity and trust.

We have given great consideration to what we can say publicly without risk to ourselves, but the fact is that the Traditional Catholic world is a small one. Many details could give away our identity to some, and "some" finding out would be sufficient for "all" to know who we are, in this age of the Internet and free blog sites. Each Traditional Catholic has his/her story, some of which are quite remarkable. Objectively speaking, many of us are prominent at our respective chapel(s). Far be it from us to boast; some people are simply more well-known at their chapel than others, due to the volunteer roles they play, length of time spent at a chapel, and/or personality.

    God bless you,

    The SaveSSPX.com Administrators
