Title: Resistance in USA going nowhere
Post by: Änσnymσus on July 02, 2014, 10:30:10 PM
Look at the schedule for the Resistance priests in the USA.

http://www.inthissignyoushallconquer.com/apps/calendar/

If you didn't get signed up as one of the "regulars", your group goes nowhere or even dies from neglect. There are only 3 priests making circuits, and 2 of them teach at the new Boston seminary. But even now, during the summer  (the seminary classes are done for the summer, are they not?) nothing has changed. Just look at the calendar. It's the same places again and again.

There are supposed to be 21 Resistance chapels in the USA. How many of them have had Mass in the last 4 months?

It is becoming evident that the Resistance is going nowhere.

Yeah, I tend to agree. If you're not in one of the huge meccas like the Pfeiffer ranch, Post Falls, Seattle, or Veneta, the whole "resistance" seems so far away and remote, as if it's all passing you by. Pretty frustrating when you believe strongly in the cause!

The problem is, the SSPX is going towards Modernism and Vatican II. So that's a no-go as well. If only it were so simple that we could just forget about the resistance.

We have the Holy Sacrifice in ct and most likely nj this weekend......
The resistance priests are much busier than that schedule let's on.

Wow.

So if you haven't had Mass in months, you should really feel neglected like an extra snowflake in Alaska.

Well, don't say I didn't warn you this would happen; because I did, repeatedly.  And I explained the reasons why.

There are a lot of cloth-eared fantasists in Traditional circles who think if they just hope for it enough their fantasies will fall into place.

Over the New Year 2014 period Bp Williamson was in India whose small Resistance groups are already served adequately by two Indian priests. +W denied his own faithful in Britain his services during that festive season.
Fr F. Chazal has recently published a newsletter. It seems he visits Taiwan and Indonesia to minister to one to three persons! He also plans to visit India over Christmas 2014 thus depriving other centers of Masses over that important liturgical period. Looks like we have headless chickens here!

Good thing that Catholicism has such a strong tradition of the laity dictating how the clergy should act.

Don't forget either that America is far more important and needy than any other place on God's earth!

Sure. And Vatican II was called to reverse this.

This is a puzzling comment even as a sarcasm. On this forum it is not unknown for someone to comment that the policy of the SSPX towards the laity is pray, pay and obey. Should we blame the laity for the direction that Bishop Fellay has taken?. Or for that matter, all that Pope Francis says and does?.

I joined the resistance without a hope of receiving the Mass or the sacraments again due to location and small numbers.

It has been said that in our times we will have to keep the Faith going as individuals or small groups and in the end, all we will have is the Rosary. Keep praying it daily and God will provide! And remember, one Holy Communion received well is enough to sustain us throughout our lives.

God bless our holy missionary priests!
