  • Anyone else experiencing "resistance burnout"?  I've reached critical mass on reading and discussing.

    I need a

  • The way I see it, this is a war. The enemy is not going to rest. Take a break if you need. I'm exhausted from this whole fight, especially since so, so few up here are even listening.

I was just sent an invitation to the Church Picnic from my mother-in-law. Of course we're not going. This'll be the first year we haven't gone. Last year, Father Bolduc was with us, and I will treasure that one in my memory, but I won't ruin that memory by going to the neoSSPX church picnic.

I refuse to stop fighting though, and will continue to read whatever to keep me informed about what's going on. I understand your fatigue. Wars are not for the faint hearted. Just don't give up the fight.
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

My Avatar is Fr. Hector Bolduc. He was a faithful parish priest in De Pere, WI,

  • I think it's safe to trust the SSPX.  The Resistance is exciting but I think normalcy is returning to the SSPX.  That's how I see it.

  • Beware!  Normalcy during a war is always a trap.  Go elsewhere for R & R. Even if that means you stay home alone for a few weeks.  Make a mini-retreat for yourself.  Keep up your prayers, do spiritual reading, put away the polemical material.  STAY OFF LINE.  Return, ready for combat.

If you're tired of reading, watch on video, The Bombing of Dresden from the German POV.  Then watch The Stepford Wives.  I'll leave it to you and other readers of this post to learn who are the characters.  Hint:  We are in Dresden and everything seems to be back to normal.  Another movie, The Bells of Nagasaki.  No, that wasn't a weather plane!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Yeah, it can get wearisome talking and listening especially to repetitive things.

However it is good to continue updating websites.  Every day new people find new posts and gain benefits from them.

  • My SSPX priest told me we have nothing to worry about.  Why should I doubt him?  I get the excitement of war and espionage, but Bishop Fellay has recanted his enthusiasm and now understands the truth about new church.

  • Paula Radcliffe has more staying power than some resistance types.  The fight has only just begun.

You're rounding The Horn and complaining of a swell in the sea.

Gonna get worse before it gets better.

Anyone who thinks war and espionage are exciting has never been to war or been in a war zone.  Those who go to war risk death.  Those who fear death stay at home.

  • Honestly, I really miss my ExSPX friends and Catholic chatty in the coffee room after Mass.

Being in the Resistance is stressful...

I don't think I can take it anymore...

I'm very tempted to surrender to the branded ExSPX version of "trad-lite". Everybody there is so nice and huggy, even to the Church's historic enemies.

Besides, having "better tradition" their coffee room also sells my favorite Krispykreme dougnuts

  • Good points about war.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Free? Why didn't I get any? I saw cookies, but no donuts. I didn't even get a cookie!

But seriously, "exciting?" "Espionage?" THIS IS NOT A WORMWOOD MOVIE PLEASE! This is reality, and it's not some kind of passing flippant joke. This is about the truth being allowed to coexist with error in the same place. Lies being told to those that are truly wanting the truth. Deals being made to sell out not just some building, but our very FAITH! Please spare me the talk of "exciting" and "espionage" like this is some 007 movie.

  • I am the OP.  I didn't mean to imply that I'm withdrawing my support of the Resistance priests or that I won't actively participate in all Resistance activities.

I'm just tired of the online dialogue with Fellaybots.  Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Pick and choose what you read on-line.  You needn't scan the enemy's radio transmissions 24/7.  Most of it is static, anyhow.  Consider your sources carefully.  Put time limits on yourself or you'll burn out.  That's common sense.  BTW-  Donuts, coffee, tea, sometimes fruit and homemade goods are free.  But that's not why you go to Mass, is it?  You can get those from a Salvation Army soup kitchen!
