When I became Catholic it was at a very liberal Novus Ordo parish. I did not renounce my errors as a Protestant and I'm pretty sure that I still believed some of them at the time. I have learned better since. I am looking for the prayer/vow/ceremony that traditionally was said by Protestants converting to Catholicism so I can say it now.

I intend to talk to a priest but I would like to see the formula for renouncing error too.

I didn't think NO parishes required a renunciation of any errors.

They don't. In the Novus Ordo there are no errors except for the "error" of rejecting ecuмenism.

This anonymous thing is confusing. I'm the OP.

I'm not looking for a NO way for renouncing errors. I doubt there are any. I want to find the traditional words.

Then talk to a priest you regard as traditional. He should be able to help you.
