Renouncing Errors

  • When I became Catholic it was at a very liberal Novus Ordo parish.  I did not renounce my errors as a Protestant and I'm pretty sure that I still believed some of them at the time.  I have learned better since.  I am looking for the prayer/vow/ceremony that traditionally was said by Protestants converting to Catholicism so I can say it now.

  • I didn't think NO parishes required a renunciation of any errors.

    They don't.  In the Novus Ordo there are no errors except for the "error" of rejecting ecuмenism.

  • This anonymous thing is confusing.  I'm the OP.  

    I'm not looking for a NO way for renouncing errors. I doubt there are any.  I want to find the traditional words.
