  • Dear forum members,

I don't know about your friends & family but at the start of 2020, right before COVID kicked off. A lot of good holy people had dreams, some of blood moons , but some had dreams of being taken up in the clouds ( rapture ). Now I know the Catholic church does not believe this . I even know of a person who had a dream during that time of being " left behind " which she interprets as a warning to get herself ready. All given the impression this was to happen in around 3 years, a time and a time and a time and a half.
I'm just wondering if anyone had had similar dreams about three years or being taken " up".

I personally have had Zero dreams .

I'm not sure what to make of this as I know the church don't believe in the rapture but I do believe we are in desperate times.

  • The Rapture was popularized by Protestant C.I. Scofield, a Freemason, with his Scofield Reference Bible. It's unbiblical nonsense that no Catholic should take seriously. Dreams are also not to be taken seriously, as even demons can influence them for their own ends.

If these are those Last Days, then pray for perseverance through suffering and a holy death.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

That is your problem. Now get a good quality B-complex.

It's a setup for the Prots who believe in it to accept the Antichrist.  We Catholics know that when Our Lord comes again, it'll be the end of the world and anyone pretending to reign on His behalf will be Antichrist.

To do with people's visions and dreams around that period

By “that period” do you mean the rapture which will never eventuate?

Beware of anyone who claims visions of Mary.  It seems like you pay too much attention to hearsay.

Although visions and locutions which come from God are true, we may be deceived about them. This is proved by quotations from Divine Scripture.

  • That's so true. When I moved here over 20 years ago, no less that four NO women told me they were having visions of the Virgin, Christ and saints. A couple even had the local novus ordo priests bamboozled (bigtime). One was actually doing great work for the poor but her countenance was way off- evil even.  I was actually starting to wonder if visions were a more common occurrence than I originally thought and I was wondering if God thought "I was chopped liver" or something for not having them myself. So naïve to even consider this.

Visions are actually contagious ,especially among women, for the reason you explained.  Women encounter other women who claim to be having visions.  So they feel inferior, and so they suddenly start "seeing" them also.  Women in general have more vivid imaginations, and a bit of suggestion can help kick off the process.

I've known of some (including one in our metro area) who were total frauds.  She had "stigmata" but it was discovered that these were self-inflicted.

At other times, it's diabolical, but I would wager that 90% of them are either psychological / physiological issues or outright fraud.

As for dreams, who knows?  Lots of people have vivid dreams, and the content often depends on various subjects that they might be emotionally pre-occupied with during their waking hours.  Again, more common with women because these types of subjects affect them emotionally, making them more prone to dreaming about them later.  That's especially the case where they begin to fancy themselves as mystics, and so they fill their minds deliberately with this stuff, setting themselves up for dreams and visions later, practically willing them into existence.

When St. Theresa of Avila was told that nuns are her convent were having "visions," she ordered that the visionaries be given extra meat in their diet.
