Yeah, I really thought this was all over with. I'm not sure when it changed...Best I can tell it was around 2010. I was in nursing and worked with lots of black girls. We were all best of friends. Then I started doing private duty nursing around 2010. Slowly, my black friends started dropping from my friends list (when I was on FB).

I'm a friendly sort and now when I say hello in passing (like at the grocery store), I get "the look", not only from blacks but hispanics also. I'm like WTF?

Glad I'm getting old. Hope things improve but not looking too promising. It's really sad...

  • If you ever encounter such a scenario: Pray and leave the scene immediately.

In the video above, the "white victim" continued to argue with what appeared to be a very aggressive black employee. That was a stupid mistake. If the "white victim" had buttoned her lips, complied with the employee's request, and then walked quickly away, then things might have turned out differently. Instead, she continued to argue and added fuel to the fire. The "white victim" thus became a mutual combatant, and upset all around her.

To avoid such occurrences in the future:

    1. Avoid all toxic angry people. Do not enter neighborhoods known for their violence and high crime rates.

    2. Calmly walk away from toxic people if they start to engage you. Honor legitimate requests to defuse an angry scenario.

    3. Use blocking techniques to prevent injury should they attack.

    4. Carry a whistle and/or pepper spray and use it if attacked.

    4. Do not retaliate with punches and kicks. Run away from such toxic people. Do not engage them.
