    • Tele, have you ever thought of giving just one hour/week to be a Big Brother to some kid without a father?  You could spend 15-20 min. of that time to teach him his prayers/catechism & the rest of the time just playing ball.  If Big Brothers is too Big Brotherish ( as in big gov. or secular) maybe there's a kid at church.  Or how about volunteering at an animal shelter?  If kids & animals don't interest you, how about playing cards or chess with someone who has no family at a nursing home?   There's so much we can do & that desperately needs doing here on this earth.  Anyway, do you do any of these things?

    • In a year or two, I may have a job available.  I'll need lots of help to clean out a small house where I've lived for 21 years, make numerous trips to the dump, 2nd hand store, pack a small truck and drive it across the U.S.  Pay plus food and overnight accommodations.  Just waiting on Providence for the right time.  Interested?  If not Tele, someone else!

    • When I was a small boy (around 4) I recall my father was friends with an old man who adopted abandoned boys and raised them.  I still remember him smoking his pipe.  Sometimes my father and him would take me to various model train exhibits in the rusty old 65 Impala convertible downtown or a across state lines (some of them were absolutely amazing) and to eat at Howard Johnson's.

    The world has changed a great deal since those days.

    In particular there is a great lack of decency (a fundamental lack of honesty and basic moral integrity) and a lack of basic manners, as well as a tendency towards malicious spreading of lies and falsehoods, particularly among people with a PC mindset.  

    It is hard enough for men (especially devout men) these days to raise their own children without evil people trying to destroy their familes.  Volunteering with minors is a no go.

    Whoever posted this thread is either foolish or malicious.

    Learn to mind your own business.
