  • A Holy Priest died 6 months ago and his family had two Masses. One Mass of High Priest.  The other one was supposed to be High Requiem Mass but his family did novus ordo.  Then a couple of people organized a 6 month memorial Mass and were asking for $600 dollars for choir.  I guess they thought we were going to pay the whole thing.  That is messed up.  First of all, it should be done one year anniversary in May;and not during advent.  Secondly, it is a Priest and if it is for Priest and shouldn't cost anything. After all, I'm sure they never charged outside clergy who visited  $600 can be used to help the poor.  The Mass was supposed to be this Thursday at 7pm then changed yesterday to Thursday to 10am after someone donated $100.  I also think it is tacky that there are posters in Church praying area. asking for online giving.   After Mass there should be zero talking in Church while people are praying. No excuse, they can go outside or use their social hall.  ( at least with the SSPX, there is silence and we can pray without disruption.)

I am upset with the whole thing.  We aren't going at all.

  • What good is the Latin High Mass when there is lukewarmness involved?  What good when the people who attend are stuck up hypocrites.
He was a Catholic Priest and deserved respect.
That was inconsiderate and rotten to switch the time making it difficult for those who work for a living.  And some of us had plans.  Then at last minute change the time?  It should had been cancelled and rescheduled. What no money equals zero high Mass?  Even Greek Orthodox is much cheaper for memorial Mass.
It was rotten to do this to us.

  • Our priest was a good and holy Priest who had low Mass out of his home until he died.  He was persecuted even after he died. I was recently informed that his will was not followed according to his final wishes.

  • Thank you for letting me vent.  It prevented me from sinning. I would hate to lose my temper during Advent.
