• Women are not normally good at spotting effeminate men. The men in effeminate European societies like the French, are not going to be good at spotting effeminate men.

True.  I could pick out one gαy guy in a crowd of a thousand, but my wife would say, "no, why do you think that?".  I was almost always right.  But I have since trained her "gαydar" to the point that she can pick them out most of the time too.

Give us some hints.
I know that my own gαydar is activated whenever I see a guy dressed in rainbow glittery colors, scrupulously concerned with cleanliness and his appearance and a lover of aftershave and cologne, obsessed with maintaining his collector cars, walking strangely swaying his hips like a girl does, and/or talking in a strange manner with an affected lisp or slur or falsetto.

• An Irish priest told his Dublin congregation he was gαy and received a standing ovation.
Father Martin Dolan came out during Mass as he called for Ireland to adopt same sex marriage, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
Ireland will hold a referendum on same sex marriage in May.
Dolan who has been the priest at the Church of St Nicholas of Myra in the Irish capital for 15 years told the congregation: "I'm gαy myself."
His admission was met by applause and a standing ovation from "proud parishioners", reports the Belfast Telegraph.
One, Liz O'Connor, said: "We are all very proud of Father Martin. Because he has admitted that he is gαy he doesn't change the person that he was before it."

Hell's bells: Nine priests spotted in Irish gαy bar
The sɛҳuąƖ lives of clerics revealed in new book
50FLASHBACK TO PRIDE: The 2014 Belfast Pride parade in Belfast city centre - Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly is having great time

November 28 2014

Ground-breaking new research into the sɛҳuąƖ lives of Irish Catholic priests has revealed many of them are or have been sɛҳuąƖly active, that the bishops are aware of the situation, and that there is a gαy scene within the church.
'Thirty-Three Good Men: Celibacy, Obedience and Identity' publishes new analysis of priests' views from a series of interviews conducted by Dr John Weafer, a former seminarian who is now married with children.
The book, which has just been published by Columba Books, reveals that one parish priest interviewed confidentially by Weafer is in a long term gαy relationship.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, the author said 'Fr C' was "very happy with his life as a priest and a person".
Another priest interviewed, 'Fr L' was ordained in the 1990s. It was only when he was ordained that he finally ended up 'sleeping' with another priest.

"Although we both vowed it would never happen again, it did and I was really very confused," he said.

When he ended up in bed "fumbling around" with another priest, he decided to try the gαy scene.
Fr L then "discovered a strong clerical gαy scene in Ireland", although it was not easy to access because of the clerics' need for secrecy.
He believes that there are "quite a lot of gαy guys in the priesthood" and on one occasion when he went into a gαy bar in Dublin, he recognised at least nine priests in the bar.

Dr Weafer said he did not think that the Irish hierarchy would be shocked by the revelations in the book as the interviews showed that the "hierarchy are aware" of what is going on.
"As long as priests don't go public and don't flaunt those actions that don't correspond with being a celibate priest" they turn a blind eye, he claimed.
This will shock many as the official church's attitude on ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity deems it as intrinsically disordered.
According to Dr Weafer: "If a priest was to say in the morning 'I am gαy', he would be fired. Priests have learned to keep their heads down".

The researcher, who was the first lay director of the Irish Bishops' Council for Research and Development in Maynooth, said that while most of the priests he interviewed lived celibate lives, and some are enthusiastic about their priesthood, others have become disillusioned.
The new research shows that the majority of Irish priests are unhappy with mandatory celibacy.
Those most enthusiastic about the retention of celibacy are younger, more conservative priests, the research shows.
Many of the priests were highly critical of the fact that sɛҳuąƖity was a taboo when they were training to be priests in the seminary.

The majority of 33 priests interviewed by Dr Weafer for the book were heterosɛҳuąƖ.
One former priest had married and joined the Church of Ireland while Fr L has since decided to leave the priesthood, as he found the double standards too much. Another gαy priest Fr G had opted to remain in the priesthood and was not sɛҳuąƖly active.

• Priesthood is great gig for queers. Plenty of little altar boys, fellow queer priests, expensive meals, trips etc.   all supported by struggling hardworking families.

• An Irish priest who sued his ex-lover in a dispute over the home they once lived in together is entitled to a 27% share of the house, a court has ruled.
Fr Gabriel Rosebotham took legal action against his former partner Hugo Crawford, who used also to be a member of a Catholic religious order.
Donegal Circuit Court heard they used to be in a sɛҳuąƖ relationship, living together in a cottage in the county.
Fr Rosebotham claimed he was entitled to 50% of the value of the property.
The pair went their separate ways when their relationship ended in 2002, but the priest claimed he had contributed to mortgage payments and other household bills.

• St. Bernadette Parish Rev. Gregory GreitenAP

MILWAUKEE — A Roman Catholic priest in Milwaukee has come out as gαy, writing that he will no longer live in the shadows of secrecy and plans to be authentic to his gαy self.
The Rev. Gregory Greiten disclosed his sɛҳuąƖ orientation on Sunday to the St. Bernadette Parish and was greeted with a standing ovation from his parishioners, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. He also wrote a column that was published Monday in the National Catholic Reporter.

It’s rare for a priest to come out. Greiten said he revealed his sɛҳuąƖ orientation because he wants to be a role model for others. He said he’s helping to break the silence of gαy men in the clergy so he could reclaim his own voice.
“I will embrace the person that God created me to be,” Greiten wrote. “In my priestly life and ministry, I, too, will help you, whether you are gαy or straight, bisɛҳuąƖ or transgendered, to be your authentic self — to be fully alive living in your image and likeness of God.

• gαy priest commits ‘$1.3M sin’

COLLARED: The Rev. Kevin Gray is arraigned yesterday on charges of looting big bucks from parishioners.Steven Valenti/Republican-American
A Catholic priest stole $1.3 million from his Waterbury, Conn., parish to finance a gαy old time in New York, authorities charged yesterday.
The Rev. Kevin Gray allegedly blew the money he looted from his financially struggling parish over seven years on male escorts, rooms at hotels, including the Waldorf, designer clothes, trendy restaurants and tuition for several young studs.
Gray, 64, regularly shacked up in an Upper East Side apartment that he rented for a 35-year-old man, court docuмents charge.
The priest not only paid for the apartment, but also the Harvard tuition for his male friend, authorities said.
Gray told that man for years he was a Catholic Charities lawyer and was suffering from colon cancer — both of which he later admitted were lies, cops said.
He “was leading a double life,” said Waterbury Police Capt. Christopher Corbett. “People are shocked by this news . . . He was a well-respected priest.”
Gray was ordered held in lieu of $750,000 bond yesterday after appearing in Waterbury Superior Court. His alleged scam was exposed by a recent Hartford Archdiocese financial review of his Sacred Heart Parish, whose overwhelmingly Hispanic congregation he had led since 2003.
Church officials notified cops, whose arrest warrant for Gray tells a tawdry tale of his lust for men and the Big Apple high life.
From 2003 until this past March, that warrant said, Gray charged more than $205,000 to restaurants, including Tavern on the Green, L’Absinthe, Brunelli and Giovanni.
He dropped more than a $130,000 on hotels, often on the same days he was hiring escorts, Corbett said.
And Gray allegedly spent more than $80,000 on expensive clothes.
The priest’s pricey tastes were partially subsidized by $221,000 a cellphone company paid to install a transmitter in his church’s steeple, the court papers charge. He allegedly hid the windfall from his archdiocesan bosses, who had banned such deals.
In a June 10 interview with Waterbury cops in the York Avenue apartment he was renting, Gray said “he had grown to hate being a priest and was upset with the archdiocese for the assignments they had given him over the years,” the warrant said.
He was particularly angry about being transferred in 2001 to New Hartford while his mom was dying in New Haven, and said he began stealing from Sacred Heart in 2003 “because he felt that the church owed it to him,” the warrant said.
“Mr. Gray stated that he would order male escorts from Campus Escorts in New York,” the warrant said. “Mr. Gray stated that he is gαy and has a problem with the church’s position on ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity.”
Gray has been suspended from acting publicly as a priest.
The Ten Commandments
The Rev. Kevin Gray allegedly stole money his poor parishioners in Waterbury, Conn., donated to the collection plate each Sunday over seven years to fund his ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ lifestyle in New York City, violating his priestly vow of celibacy and fidelity to Jesus Christ.
VIOLATED:
III. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
VI. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
VII. Thou shalt not steal.
VIII. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
IX. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.
X. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s property.
NOT VIOLATED:
I. I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods before me.
II. Thou shalt not take the Lord’s name in vain.
IV. Honor thy father and mother.
V. Thou shalt not kill.

Church Probes Priest Accused Of Embezzling $1 Million For gαy Sex Exploits
Bronx Rev. Peter Miqueli resigned shortly after accused of spending the money on drugs and S&M relations with a male escort.

A New York City priest has resigned shortly after accused of stealing $1 million in donations and being a “toilet slave” to a S&M escort.

A New York City priest has stepped down amid allegations that he embezzled more than $1 million from two churches to fund gαy, drug-fueled sexcapades.
An investigation into Bronx Rev. Peter Miqueli, 53, is now underway by the Archdiocese of New York following the salacious allegations involving an S&M male escort and a lawsuit filed by his former parishioners.
On Saturday, Miqueli announced his resignation from St. Frances de Chantal, just hours after the New York Post published excerpts of a letter to Cardinal Timothy Dolan, detailing his alleged $1,000-per-session romps with Keith Crist.
In the letter, Crist’s ex-girlfriend, Tatyana Gudin, claims Crist was Miqueli’s “ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ sex master” and Miqueli his “toilet slave” — a title earned by the priest’s pleasure in drinking Crist’s urine.

Rev. Peter Miqueli is being sued by members of New York City’s St. Francis de Chantal, pictured, and a second church on Roosevelt Island, for more than $1 million in stolen funds.
Miqueli, in a letter read on his behalf to his Bronx congregation on Saturday, called it a “regrettable and unfortunate situation” and vowed to return to his position once the investigation clears him of wrongdoing.
Earlier in the week, members of the Bronx church and of his former church, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini on Roosevelt Island, filed a lawsuit against Miqueli and Dolan. It accuses Miqueli of siphoning off cash collected from a parish thrift shop, weekly Sunday donations and a fund to fix a church pipe organ since 2012. They accuse Dolan of turning a blind eye.
Gudin claims Miqueli used that money to carry out sex acts involving a dog collar and a chastity belt at his Harlem apartment and home in Brick Township, New Jersey. His home’s backyard was equipped with a hot tub and inside there was a “dungeon,” she said.
“There was equipment at the house — dildos, whips, chains and chaps. Keith used it. The priest also used it,” she told the NY Post.

Cardinal Tim Dolan, Archbishop of New York, is also named in the lawsuit. He’s accused of ignoring parishioners’ complaints about Miqueli.
Neighbors reached by the New York Daily News claimed to have seen a steady flow of male visitors coming in and out of the home.
It allegedly wasn’t just sex the pair would get into, however.
“They would party. There would be needles and syringes all over the house,” Gudin told the NY Post.
Approximately $60,000 of the stolen funds went toward their drugs, illicit and prescription, she claims.

In a letter sent out to parishioners on Friday, the Archdiocese of New York said it was investigating the claims but so far has found zero proof of wrongdoing.
“To date we have found nothing to substantiate the allegations that have been raised, and, in fact, with regard to the parish finances, we know that the allegation that Father Miqueli stole $1 million from each parish, as was alleged by the plantiffs’ attorney, is completely false,” stated Joseph Zwilling, direct of communications.

“We did find that Father Miqueli had deficient management and administrative practices, and have put forward several directives to remedy those deficiencies,” he continued.
He went on to say that requests for hard evidence have not been fulfilled.

• Give us some hints.

Yes, there are the obvious textbook behaviors ... particularly how they move their hips and their wrists.  Now, their mode of dress doesn't always clue you in.  But their attitude towards their appearance does, as gαys will often show a kind of meticulous attention to minute detail that only women are inclined to by nature and an overall vanity about their appearance.  So, for instance, I knew the Society of St. John guys at the Winona seminary (before they left).  They absolutely loved wearing lace surplices that went down to their knees and very much resembled dresses.  They spent hours ironing their clothes and styling their hair.

But, apart from these overt signs, you can generally tell by their facial expressions ... the way they move their mouth, their lips, and their eyes in particular.  Even if all the other signs are absent, I can usually tell from their facial mannerisms.
