Based on recent comments posted I'm starting this thread to vent on annoying trad habits.  I'll go first:

    -  think the poor should stay poor because it's God's Will

    -  GOSSIP!!!!

    -  female trads accusing other female trads of trying to steal their husbands

    -  tell others not to engage in worldly pursuits while they themselves secretly do it

    -  woman believe it's "feminine" to dress like Granny from Beverly Hillbillies

Sounds a heckuvalot more like the fundmental/charismatic/Pentecostal/etc that I was raised in than what I've experienced in The Church since converting. Like a zillion times moreso x 3.14...
    Just sayin...

And don't forget the "Veil Wars!"  Mine is nicer/longer/more colourful/etc.

Mine has rhinestones,  whirlygigs and blinking lights. You are just jealous.  :dancing-banana:

So as a convert I not only receive the Real,True Presence and Communion with the Saints...
but veil wars, too?? Wheee! Win-Win!
     :rahrah:
     :laugh2:
-mara (also the post right before this was me. Forgot to click the don't post anon thingy, I guess. Sorries)

  • I'm not a lady, I'm a real red blooded he-man, broad shoulders and bulging biceps.

But if I was a girl, I'd have the longest, prettiest mantilla out there!!!!

  • Whenever I enter into a Mass of All Times

I find it annoying when I see a two year old genuflecting with hands clasped in prayer, making the sign of the cross, it distracts me from looking around to see who is looking at me!

Then there is that priest with his back to me, praying and looking at the crucifix hanging over the altar, at least I can chew my gum and he can't see me.

Speaking about that crucifix:  It bothers me that here, they actually show His suffering, what about His resurrection?  These people must love the glum and doom. At my local novus ordo service, we love each other, shake hands, play guitars, come on people get a life.

Not to mention, what is that song their singing, sounds like they are saying something like "Lord I am not worthy".... are you kidding, I am worthy, I even gave up eating meat during Lent last Friday.

This is what annoys me about those trads, going back to my modern novus ordo, they know how to live,  anyway I would rather stick with the majority, majority rules you know.

I assume this was meant as satire.

I thought it was satire - making fun of really pretty trad girls - but no, it's about the novus ordo girls and they truly are a self-indulgent lot.
