I know there are some comments here about bad attitude but I will give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Keep in mind, this is someone who just got fired and that can provoke a variety of motional reactions.

I am with you on this, I do not know why women would choose this instead of raising a family. Men often reach a point (call it mid-life crisis) where we feel like we have not made an impact, we may question whether or not we made the right choice here or there. A woman that would choose to stay home and raise her children can have in her a sense of satisfaction knowing that she has made a positive impact on other people's lives, the lives of her husband and children. Each of us has a vocation, a role in life, and when we line up our actions to achieve the purpose or vocation you get a sense of peace from it. What I read from your post is that this job, or the whole concept of working for a corporation has robbed you of your peace.

From reading your rant, I bet your boss fired you because you have a bad attitude. He was probably looking for any reason to give you the boot.  Very wise on the part of the employer since an employee with a bad attitude can destroy moral.
Dumb Boomer.
Bad bosses exist. Tyrannical ones. I know a malicious boss who don’t treat his employees well and they retaliate or steal from him.

I think also this is why the stereotype of the girl boss exists. It's real. Basically those women just yes their whole way up and then they do the same to all their inferiors.

This is an abuse of the anyonymous thread. The OP sounds mentally off herself.

Do I detect the taste of bitter grapes?  🍇 🤢
The only one with mental illness is the woman who leaps back into the same work environment.  If she CAN be a SAHM, then do it. If circuмstances prevent that, get into a more suitable line of employment.  If the OP is a man complaining about his wife taking a corporate job she hated and was fired, calling her mentally ill won’t help matters. Some people have very poor judgment. That’s not mental illness; it’s a weakness or character flaw.
