  • How should a prenuptial agreement be worded for a trad Catholic marriage?

  • You shouldn't have one -- it implies that a marriage is dissoluble at some point in the future.

    Then again, what if one of the spouses decides to give up the Faith and just leave? They should get nothing.

    I've not heard any priests talk about prenups for Trad Catholics...

  • I recall hearing Charles Coulombe say in one of his talks that having a pre-nup invalidates a marriage and is grounds for an annulment, because it's a provision to dissolve the union at some point.

  • As others have said, Catholics should not have prenups.  I've even heard NO priests says that prenups violate the Catholic understanding of marriage.
