  • Why does this guy seem to take pleasure in destruction?

Notice it's a statue of St. Therese of Lisieux, but he calls her "Mary"
several times. And he's just as eager to smash the face of Jesus
    in the Crucifix.

Maybe they ought to try burning a Koran for next week's service?

On the other hand, at least he's honest. How many Catholic churches have
been sacked by the pastor in the past 40 to 50 years, but done in
the dark of night without any filming of the deeds?

  • Err, why do I get a video telling me to vote Republican instead of the one you're describing? Might want to check that link.

It's interesting you'd say that. It didn't come to mind while I was watching, but now that you mention it, that wouldn't be the first time such a thing happens.

And in God's justice, it doesn't have to be someone who knows about the statue-bashing situation. He could be involved in an accident of some kind, trapped in his car for example, and the fireman trying to rescue him breaks the window with a hammer which in turn hits the victim in the face. Woops. Sorry! Are you okay?

There's a video clip on the Internet that shows a scene from a movie where a log falls off a truck and bounces on the freeway, then a car comes up and runs into it and the log hits the driver in the face and then comes out the rear window of the car with a red splash. The log did not decide what to do.

But in the end, those who go to hell will suffer in eternity a punishment closely related to their principal sin, and demons will be the antagonists, wielding the hammer, as it were.

I would say that we should pray for his conversion, but it sure looks like he's taking far too much pleasure in what he's perpetrating. He would seem to be proud to find that members of his congregation are going out to imitate his iconoclasm.
