While I like the older Liturgy, I don't care for the times.
Holy Thursday should be in the evening, and the Easter Vigil should be overnight from Saturday into Easter Sunday, culminating in Midnight Mass on Easter.
Pius XII certainly got that part right. At these "pre-Pian" chapels, the lay people greet one another with "Happy Easter" by around Noon on Holy Saturday. Christ rose on the Third Day, not on the Second. Moving the Vigil earlier in the day was an abuse done by people who wanted the Lenten fast over just a bit sooner.
And what is it with Vespers being done so early? The very Latin word root "vesper" means "of or related to the EVENING".
