I was in the 8th grade at that time in 1962. I remember no objections. I came in to serve the morning Mass and was
told by the Priest that I am not to say the second Confiteor because as this day it is no longer a part of the Mass.
That's how subversion and revolution work:
SSPX: "Today +BW is no longer part of the SSPX
Faithful: "OK"
SSPX: "We are going to have an agreement with modernist Rome now. ABL would do it if he were alive.
Faithful: "OK"
SSPX: "We need to get the local bishops permission before I can marry you."
Faithful: "OK"
SSPX: "We are going to say dialogue Masses in all the schools and seminaries. ABL said it, you know."
Faithful: "OK"
SSPX: "We are going to have a bandleader conduct the whole chapel from the communion rail, to make sure everyone actively participates. That's how it should be, you know."
Faithful: "OK"
SSPX: "We are going to have to arrive at something similar to the 1965 transitional missal eventually. Let's start inculcating the faithful in these principles so it does not come as a shock, or inspire revolt. We will do it so incrementally, the dummies won't know we have conned them right out of Tradition.
Faithful: "OK"
SSPX: "You know, I'm not really sure I am traditional anymore."
Faithful: "OK"
