O God, my Way-maker, please enable me to get away from this group of friends. You know they have a bad influence over my life and are leading me down a path of immorality and addictive behaviors. Lord, I know You guard the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Righteous Lord, please liberate me from my bad habit of constantly grumbling and complaining about my circuмstances. I know this attitude is essentially a lack of gratitude for Your provision, and You have made clear in Your Word that grumbling is a sin. Gracious Father, help me to cultivate the habit of thanking You for all the blessings You have poured out on me. Amen.

O God, my Promise-Keeper, I confess that I have been dwelling in a state of fear and anxiety. Forgive me Lord, and help me remember that You haven’t given me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. Lord, my Guard, I pray that You would help me set a guard over my own mouth. I confess that I have been guilty of using swear words, obscenities, racial and sɛҳuąƖ slurs, and telling dirty jokes. God of Faithfulness, I seek Your liberation from this dysfunctional relationship. I don’t ask to be released from the relationship itself but from the dysfunctional aspect. Please help me and my partner to overcome our poor conflict management skills, and to learn to relate to one another in a balanced, loving, healthy and affirming way. Help us to put the needs of the other before ourselves and to enjoy a harmonious relationship that honors You. Amen.

O Lord, my Healer, I seek to be free from this disability. I stand on Your Word that tells me that You forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases. Heal me, Lord, I pray. The thief has come to steal, kill, and destroy, but Your Son Jesus came to bring abundant life, and I claim that abundant life over my body. Protect me from deception and establish me in godly reasoning and wisdom. Amen.

My Righteous God, I confess that I have been guilty of gossip, slander, and careless words about others. I am ashamed that I have used my mouth to hurt the feelings and the reputation of others. Forgive me, Lord, and help me to set things right, as much as is in my power to do. Give me self-control over my speech, so I no longer speak words that are brutal, sarcastic, and unloving. May the words of my mouth be affirming, encouraging, and kind. Amen.
